Fairy Pools car park staff posts now filled
We are looking for operatives to assist in the smooth running of the Fairy Pools Car Park facility near Glenbrittle, on the Isle of Skye.
Working alongside the Fairy Pools Facility Manager, the flexible part-time positions, requiring occasional weekend work, are essential to the effective day-to-day running of the car park and toilet facility. Duties include:
- Meeting and greeting customers, making recommendations on how best to enjoy their Fairy Pools experience, and provide information and advice on other local visitor attractions.
- Correctly guiding vehicles into parking spaces in order to maximise capacity.
- Keeping the car park, toilets, and toilet building clean and tidy.
- Working with the Facility Manager to ensure that ticket machines are working properly.
Willie Grant, the new Fairy Pools Facility Manager and a former Senior Service Supervisor in the oil and gas industry, who was born and brought up in Carbost, Skye, said: “We are looking to recruit a number of part-time operatives for the Fairy Pools Car Park at Glenbrittle, here on Skye. The Fairy Pools is one of Scotland’s most popular and remote visitor attractions and our staff are essential to the effective running of the car park operation that accommodates as many as 180,000 annual visitors as they make their way to this iconic location.
“We are looking for confident communicators, who are positive and energetic and can work both independently and as part of a small team. Local knowledge is a bonus but not essential. It is also the perfect opportunity to work in a stunningly beautiful outdoor landscape whilst meeting people from all over the world.”
OATS will provide outdoor clothing and PPE to all operatives working at The Fairy Pools.
