Fairy Pools Facility Supervisor

Join the Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland as a full-time Supervisor of the Car Park and Toilet Facility at the stunning Fairy Pools, Glenbrittle, Isle Of Skye.

Embrace a pivotal role with a salary range of £24,545.32 to £25,474.40 per annum.

As Facility Supervisor you will work closely with the Fairy Pools Facility Manager, playing a vital part in the day-to-day operations of a busy car park. Your focus will encompass supervising casual/seasonal staff, maintaining the cleanliness of the car park, toilets, and facilities, ensuring equipment and infrastructure are in top condition, managing supplies, adhering to health and safety standards, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders and visitors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth operations of the car park, keeping entrances and exits clear, and maintaining pristine toilet facilities.
  • Uphold compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Supervise and support casual/seasonal staff, maintaining work standards.
  • Engage with visitors, offering guidance on enjoying the site and providing information about local attractions.
  • Optimize car parking spaces and oversee the proper functioning of ticket machines.
  • Liaise with community associations, land managers, public bodies, and emergency services.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in assessing and managing risks and statutory requirements.
  • Previous experience in staff supervision and ensuring work standards.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and self-organisation skills.
  • Capability in managing supplies and procurement.
  • First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain it within six months.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to seasonal work hours.

 

Work Schedule:

  • 36 hours per week, mainly between 0800 – 1800, with flexibility for shorter hours in winter and longer hours in peak seasons.
  • 36 days of annual leave, including public holidays.
  • Contributory pension scheme available.
