We will be working on the Cobbler, Arrochar. The activity will be moderate / strenuous. We will be walking for up to an hour to the section of the path we are working on. We will be working to maintain the drainage features on the main path and also cut back any encroaching vegetation on the lower sections.
Transport will be available from Balloch leaving at 9.20am. If making your own way the meeting place will be Succouth Car Park at 10am, more information can be found here: http://scotland.forestry.gov.uk/forest-parks/argyll-forest-park/arrochar
You will need to bring appropriate clothing including waterproofs and sturdy toe protecting footwear. You might also want to bring a midge net, insect repellent, sun cream / hat and walking poles if you usually use them. You will also need lunch, snacks and a drink. We have a supply of work gloves for volunteers and steel toe capped wellington boots which volunteers can borrow. Toilet facilities are available in Arrochar, but please be aware that there are no toilet facilities within walking distance of where we are working.
