Cairngorms Wild Plants Project Volunteer Training Day

9th August 2017 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

*** THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED ***

This training event is being provided as part of the Cairngorms Wild Plants project, in collaboration with the The Mountains & The People. A Plantlife Scotland event led by Cairngorms plant expert Ben Averis.

This field day is aimed at volunteers who want to help conserve the wild plants of the Cairngorms Mountains and Caledonian Pinewood environments.  You do not need to have an expert knowledge of wild plants, just a willingness to learn and a desire to help conserve these special habitats. By the end of the field day, participants will have gained skills and knowledge and a greater understanding of the conservation needs of these habitats and species and what they can do as volunteers to help.

During the workshop you will learn about:

  • Wild Plants Identification
  • Habitat Condition Assessment
  • Species & Habitat Monitoring Techniques
  • Habitat Management Toolkits

There is no costs for the workshop but places are limited. Please contact us for more information and to book a space.
