Community path networks form the basic infrastructure to provide the public with reasonable access throughout their area. By linking key amenities and recreational opportunities, these paths provide an opportunity to reduce dependency on vehicular travel and enable easier access to the environment.

Our Adopt-a-Path Scheme
Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland runs a volunteer scheme to help look after the community paths it manages. This exciting scheme is an opportunity for you to become a custodian of one of the paths we are improving and maintaining in a number of communities across both of Scotland’s National Park areas.
With specialist training in path surveying and basic maintenance you will join an elite group of volunteers who monitor and report on the condition of our mountain paths.
You can find out more about volunteering with us at our project website www.themountainsandthepeople.org.uk/volunteering or call us on 013398 87777 or 01389 711918
