The Cairngorms National Park Core Path Planning Process highlighted a community aspiration to have a path re-instated to allow the settlements on the south side of the River Don access the Lonach Village Hall on the north side of the river. The path and subsequent bridge would also allow a much safer walking route along a quieter back road to reach the main settlements of Strathdon, Bellabeg and Roughpark, rather than using the busier and faster A944.
Path works/construction Date: 2012
Path passable with care after August 2014 flood Damage.
