This is a short section of plateau path which is heavily used by climbers and hill walkers. The path forms part of longer circular walks accessible from the Cairngorm car park.
Work was carried out on this path during 2012/13 and is now complete. Work was carried out by Cairngorm Wilderness Constracts Ltd, a company set up by three former COAT trainees on completion of the Path Skills Training Project. The path needed some pre-emptive and light touch work on the descent from Cairn Lochan and elswhere light touch works were used to help to contain the spread of the path.
