Crathie All Ability Path

The Trustees from Crathie Opportunity Holidays were keen to create an all abilities path beside the River Dee adjacent to the car park, used to access Crathie Church and Balmoral Castle (please note: during August, September and October the castle is closed to the Public).

The Upper Deeside Access Trust (UDAT), the forerunner to the Cairngorms Outdoor Access Trust (COAT), assisted in raising funds and overseeing the project management and construction of the path.

The line of the route included the construction of a timber footbridge; seating areas and amenity planting.

Path works/construction Date: 2004

Path passable with care after 30th December 2015 Storm Frank flood Damage.
