Path Map

Beinn Meadhoin

This is a popular path used to access Loch Avon crags and shelter stone by climbers and walkers from either Cairngorm plateau or Loch Etchachan providing access to Beinn Mheadhoin.

Work on this path was completed in 2012 and was carried out by a footpath contract team living in the Remote Accommodation System (RAS).

One short section near Shelter Stone was completely rebuilt otherwise light touch techniques and pre-emtive work to control future erosion was carried out.

Thanks to Arran Footpaths, who carried out the work and were the first residents of the RAS!

Fantastic to be part of the @CNPnature Nature Festival this year, a lovely wee group of #volunteers. Check out the before and after on one section of path we attacked. Drains cleared ✅ Culverts checked ✅ Good chat ✅ Fresh air ✅ #paths #munro #cairngorms #hills #views pic.twitter.com/AoYlVl2jUC
